Supporting Barnabas Children's Ministry in Prayer
I lift up my eyes to the hills - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Psalm 36:5 (TINV)
Your prayers make a difference to our work
Thank you for praying for our work at BRF. We cannot express just how important it is to know that people throughout the world are praying for us.
During the first four months of 2011 the Barnabas Children's Ministry team have led more Barnabas RE Days than ever before. Many of the schools have booked the 'What’s so Special about the Bible' Barnabas RE Day, which links with the 400th anniversary celebrations of the King James Bible this year. Behind all of these stories is prayer, and again we are grateful for your prayers in supporting our ministry.
Please continue to pray for our work - that God would touch the lives of those we serve.
How you can support us in prayer
Pray now
Please pray:
- for the children in your church today and for those who teach in Sunday school or midweek groups
- for Martyn, Jane and Chris as they work with churches offering support and advice with their children’s ministry programmes, for protection as they travel throughout the UK and abroad
- for those who write content for the Barnabas in Churches website and the regular Barnabas in Churches E-News
- for the resources we publish - that they would be effective tools and used well
- for children who have little involvement with the church or the opportunity to hear Bible stories or something of the Christian story
- for financial provision for the needs of the Barnabas Children's Ministry
- for Sue Doggett and Olivia Warburton as they commission and edit resources for those working with children
Pray regularly
There are a couple of ways you can pray regularly for us. If you receive any of our Bible Reading Notes, you should receive a printed prayer diary which has prayer needs from the wider ministry of BRF.
If you don't subscribe to our Bible Reading Notes, you can download the printed prayer diary from the BRF website.
In addition, we produce a fortnightly prayer email which provides details of more current prayer needs and news of the work of the team throughout the UK and abroad., as well as prayer needs from the wider BRF family.
The BRF Prayer
Almighty God,
you have taught us that your word is a lamp for our feet and a light for our path. Help us, and all who prayerfully read your word, to deepen our fellowship with each other through your love. And in so doing may we come to know you more fully, love you more truly, and follow more faithfully in the steps of your son Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for evermore.
Amen
