CURBS Unpacked Training Course
Following last year's successful pioneering of the CURBS Unpacked training course for children's leaders who already have some experience, CURBS is running another six module course - on Saturdays starting this September and running roughly monthly into 2011.
If you live in the London area, this may be just the training you are looking for, to help you grow your skills and develop your thinking about ministry among children.

More Core Skills
Core Skills will soon have a companion book - guess what? - entitled More Core Skills for Children’s Work which Barnabas is publishing this summer and it will be launched at a conference organised by the Consultative Group for Ministry among Children (CGMC) in Chester, over the weekend of the 3rd to the 5th of September. This conference will offer the opportunity to work through a selection of modules from both books as well as explore another stream of workshops looking at the hearing the voice of children in church and in the community. Why not bring yourself and a group along?
Linking with local schools
Many children’s and family workers go into their local schools to take collective worship, contribute to lessons or to run clubs. This is such an important piece of work as we reach out to the children in our community. Barnabas is a very keen supporter of this work and we hope the readers of this website also plug into our sister site Barnabas in schools.
