Drawing prayer

This idea is taken from the Children’s Kairos material written for the Diocese of Portsmouth

On your marks:

This form of prayer can be used when you’re thinking about following Jesus

Get set:

You’ll need: paper, felt tip pens

Go!

Demonstrate a follow-my-leader drawing – you let your pen move over the paper and someone with a pen of a different colour follows your line as closely as they can. Ask them to try this in pairs.

Holding the finished pictures, pray : ‘Dear Jesus, help us to follow you as closely as these colours follow each other so that our lives will go just where you want them to go.’
