Author info

Leena Lane lives with her husband and three children in the south of England. Formerly a teacher of modern languages, Leena worked as a children's book editor for two Christian publishers before combining her writing with full time motherhood. Leena has had ten books published to date. T.S. Spookytooth has illustrated eight books since graduating with a B.A. in illustration. He lives and works in London and has a pet octopus.

These are Bible stories where the animals are important characters, such as the serpent in the Garden of Eden, the animals in the Ark, and many more. The references to find the stories in the Bible are listed on the back page. Every double page spread tells a different story and the illustrations particularly appealed. I think my favourite page was of the 'patient camels' taking pride of place in the foreground with Joseph toiling along at the end of the camel train way off in the distance; mind you the 'very special sheep' were fun! This book is going to give a lot of pleasure to young children whether they need it read to them or can read it for themselves.
