Author info

Angela Burrin was born in Kent, England but has spent much of her working life in Maryland in the USA. She is currently the Executive Director of Partners in Evangelism, the prison ministry of The Word Among Us and author of a number of books. Sue Doggett is Commissioning Editor for children's books. Before coming to BRF in 1994, she worked for the BBC in religious broadcasting and current affairs. Maria Cristina lo Cascio was born in Milan, Italy. She has worked in advertising, television and publishing, all with the aim of using pictures to bring words to life. She has more than 32 books in print.

Although the celebration of first communion tends to be associated with the Roman Catholic tradition, this book is a valuable resource for those preparing for it as a separate occasion from confirmation in an Anglican church. Taking you through the journey of the Bible, each story is tied into taking communion, along with scrapbook space at the back for personal memories, Bible verses, and photos. Charmingly bordered and illustrated, it would make a lovely keepsake for any child preparing for the occasion.
