'Her story will bring hope and strength to all who read it' -- Steve Chalke

Winner of the Christian Book Awards 'Biography of the Year' (2002)

A moving personal testimony with flashes of wry humour, In the Palm of God's Hand tells the story of Wendy Bray's journey through gruelling treatment for Hodgkin's lymphoma. This new edition brings her story right up to date, with the story of her diagnosis and treatment for breast cancer, unrelated to her first illness.

With heartfelt warmth, this prayer diary shares her own physical, emotional and spiritual journey through the treatment and also reflects on the effects on her family and friends. Wendy Bray gives insight into relating to God at the hardest of times, as well as practical ideas for supporting those living with cancer and their families.

'There can be only a few people in the world who are able to write so movingly about their own pain and trauma at the same time as being very, very funny. Wendy is one of those people'

'Her sense of humour throughout this dark period is a constant theme, alongside the inner strength which comes from God'
War Cry

'Brave and poignant'
Christian Herald
From: The Methodist Recorder - 12 July 07 Since statistics show that very few of us and our close family and friends will be unaffected by cancer, it is always of value when a victim of the diagnosis everyone dreads is able to share their experiences, thoughts, fears and, in the case of Wendy Bray at least, the faith which supported them. {In the Palm of God's Hand} was first written in 2000 and has been updated for this new edition. Warmly endorsed by Fiona Castle and the Rev Steve Chalke, this honest, humorous, pain- and faith-filled account of one woman's journey could provide help and inspiration for many.
